The Kalamazoo Airzoo

At the Airzoo, there are so many exhibits on aircraft that are on exhibit and the way that the that you get to them is an experience. However, in terms of the community, the museum serves a pivotal role in terms of the aviation history of the town. The museum caters to amateur pilots who want to see to see some of the histories of aviation while also being used as a place to study for those who are enrolled at Western's flight school. There is also the national guard who comes in on occasion to do some teaching around the exhibits to help show their student pilots about different aircraft flown by their predecessors. There are also several exhibits that also are based on teaching kids about electricity and wind plus other basic elements of flight plus the always amazing flight simulators that let anyone fly against their peers. There's also the massive library they have that only museum members and locals can use that has everything about aircraft within its shelves that any researcher would have a field day in. The Airzoo is also very accessible for those with physical impairments. In the main building, there are elevators, wide open spaces and areas to sit down for a moment to relax if needed. In the exhibit space. In the old building, there are ramps and it's a little more cramped but there are still places to sit down so that you can take a quick break. There's also the fact that most of the museum is cognitively accessible with exhibits for all. In one area of the main room, there are exhibits that are made help kids understand electricity and other concepts while also making sure there isn't too much light, there are not much sound based exhibits and there are some walkthrough tours that can be used with headphones.
